MORE THAN COINCIDENCE

by CLC_Staff on October 30, 2017

This week we welcome Rev. Dr. Glenn Wagner

Sermon Title: More Than Coincidence

I want to help persons who have lost faith, or are losing faith, as well as those who wish to help persons who are struggling with faith. A recent poll by the Pew Research Institute on the landscape of American religious life shows that persons with no faith or church connection make up our nation’s fastest growing group. I will introduce the idea of God incidents as a remarkable sequence of events in which God is made known to us in a life changing way. We will look at a history-shaping God-incidents from the New Testament book of Acts as well as an inspirational God incident from real life as an invitation to greater awareness and responsiveness to the ways God continues to engage us as disciples of Jesus.

Scripture Reference: Acts 10:34-35.

Following the worship service, Glenn will hold a book signing of his newly published book, “God Incidents: Real-Life Stories to Strengthen and Restore Your Faith.” The book is written for people who have lost faith in God or those who wish to help persons who struggle with faith issues. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the church.
