I have often borrowed ideas from other pastor’s sermons. I do try to give credit to them or let you know the origin of that particular sermon. This week I’m borrowing an entire sermon intact and whole. My plan is to recite the Sermon on the Mount in its entirety. It won’t be original, as many of you are quite familiar with its content. However, we seldom, if ever, hear the Sermon on the Mount as a sermon, spoken… as a whole. I trust it will be a different experience for us all.
My secondary reason for doing this is to encourage you to memorize scripture. You don’t have to run out and memorize three chapters, but memorizing is not as difficult as we think, really…and there are great benefits.
Scripture Reference: Matthew 5-7
