We are living our lives in ways that invite everyone we meet to become a follower of Christ so that God’s Spirit creates at CLC a community of faithful and fruitful servants who teach/lead one another in living out the Kingdom of God.
CLC is a Bible-based church that views its faith primarily through the lens of Reformed beliefs and faith. In this context, we nurture faith and action in the life of all who attend CLC
CLC offers a place where people from all ages, walks of life and life journeys experience and offer relationships of care and support. We care about people and build people who care about others so that we experience God’s grace together.
CLC is a place where staff serves among us, not for us, in ministry. Ministry staff – particularly the pastor – serve in a way that equips people of all ages to serve in the church and in the community and neighborhoods where we live.
We desire to make a difference in the world – both globally and locally. CLC works to inspire people to share their faith, take risks and follow God where he is calling them.
Relationships are at the heart of who we are as a church. Whether those relationships are built on common experiences in life (i.e. some form of grief or loss; working at the same place; or by common stage in life – raising children; empty nets; etc.; by common ministry together) or, by our common commitment to living out the gospel in Fremont community, we build relationships that are genuine, honest, unpretentious and gracious that empower conversations of grace and truth.
We form followers of Christ by building spaces (Sunday messages; youth and adult discipleship; intergenerational activities) that are relatable to life; challenge/inspire us to daily living for God; and help people grow (sometimes because we ask hard questions) in their spiritual walk with Christ.
As a church in covenant with the Alliance of Reformed Churches, you can find a fuller description of our theological beliefs at https://arc21.org/unifying-beliefs and at https://arc21.org/creeds-confessions.
