Church of the Living Christ

What to Expect

We are a smaller church of around 80 people each Sunday. What does that mean? Well, generally it means we’re fairly informal. We are people who generally know each other even though we come from across different age groups and live in the Fremont and surrounding area. Because our church is smaller, our worship space uses individual chairs and converts into other ministry uses.

Sundays

When you enter, you’ll most often be greeted by someone at the door. As you enter the building, you’ll see men in jeans, golf shirts, quarter zips and women in jeans, pants or dresses. Nothing super dressy. Pretty casual. Often, people are in the lobby talking with one another – some with coffee already in hand.

We have coffee available before the service and have no problem if you bring your cup with you or use one of ours and bring it to your seat in the worship space. Even in the worship space, people are visiting with others until the worship service starts.

Sunday mornings worship start at 10 a.m. (or 10:02 or :03). Our worship generally starts with welcome and announcements. Our worship leaders some weeks use guitars; some weeks use just the piano and some weeks use the organ (and piano). We want you to experience us as a community of belonging – not a well-polished presentation. We want you to experience God who loves you through us – not through an outstanding presentation. Check out our values page to see the values we feel called to live out.

Wednesday Suppers

Wednesday nights, we gather for supper. The supper is cooked in our kitchen, and we eat around tables. We’re all coming from busy days – and some still have busy evenings. Some stay for 15-20 minutes while others arrive 20 minutes before supper and stay longer. Anyone and everyone are welcome to help clean up.

Dress is whatever you wore that day to work or if you just came from some sport practice. It’s informal. We put out a donation box, but if you need a meal without cost then have supper on us.

Join us. Expect a home-cooked meal. Expect conversation with people who want to welcome and care about you and your life.

Church of The Living Christ Free Wednesday Night Community Dinner

Every third Wednesday we will be serving free dinners to those within our community. The menu changes every month and is cooked in our licensed kitchen. Most of the time it is one main with a couple sides and dessert. We will open our doors at 5:30 and dinner starts at 5:45. We usually end dinner at 6:45.
We also have a children’s craft area for the kids, if they finish their meal early.
