SMS TERMS OF SERVICE AND PRIVACY POLICY

TERMS OF SERVICE

  1. When you opt in to receive SMS messages from Church of the Living Christ, you will received messages regarding service and event cancellations, reminders of upcoming events, information and reminders about volunteer opportunities, and urgent alerts.
  2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time.  Just text “STOP” to 231-924-4670.  After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed.  After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.  If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
  3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword “HELP” for more assistance, or you can get help directly at office@clcfremont.org Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  4. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you.  You will receive 8 to 10 messages per month.  If you have any questions about your text plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

  • We may share your number with trusted service providers (e.g., SMS platforms) solely to deliver messages, under strict confidentiality agreements. 

5. Your Consent & Opt-Out

  • By signing up, you consent to receive periodic text messages.
  • Message frequency varies; standard carrier rates may apply.
  • You can opt-out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
  • Reply HELP for assistance. 

6. Data Security

  • We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure. 

7. Compliance

  • We comply with regulations like the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and maintain records of consent.
